DBT, short for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, is an evidence-based type of cognitive behavioral therapy. It was initially designed by Marsha Linehan for patients with borderline personality disorder, but has since been adapted for wider use. DBT is skills-based and consists of four modules: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
  • Meliora contains a carefully chosen selection of DBT skills, but there are many others not included here.
  • The DBT skills on Meliora have been adapted from the official DBT workbook by Marsha Linehan. The pages on this site should not be considered an official reference, and all credit goes to Linehan.
